Meet our lactation specialist on staff at South Charleston Pediatrics.

Consultations available at our Hurricane Office only.
During this consultation, your child will have an examination, any questions you have regarding breastfeeding will be acknowledged, and you will receive help, guidance and reassurance during a breastfeeding session to make sure that your breastfeeding experience goes smoothly.
Appointments available for patients and non-patients alike. Visits for patients will have their insurance billed. Non-patient visits will be charged a fee per hour intervals.
Consultations provided by certified lactation specialist and/or board certified lactation consultant.

Offered the first Saturday of every month 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm. If this day falls on a holiday weekend, it will be rescheduled for the following weekend.
Held in waiting room of SC Pediatrics
Bottled water and snack provided
Taught by board certified lactation consultants
$25 per class
You will learn benefits of breastfeeding for mother and baby, proper technique for positioning and latch, proper collection and storage of breast milk, problem solving skills for a variety of breastfeeding issues, effective ways to increase and/or decrease breast milk, proper way to wean your child and much more.
